TYREE BOYD-PATES is a history curator, professor, writer, and speaker who expounds on Black culture from a millennial vantage and mobilizes communities of color through journalism, social media, education and history.
Featured in the LA Times, The Guardian, Ebony Magazine, KCRW, and other outlets, Tyree's groundbreaking history exhibitions have inspired thousands to visit museums and engage with history anew. Additionally, as a regular lecturer at universities and schools, Boyd-Pates is a TEDx speaker who champions inner-city youth.
A graduate of Temple University with a Master’s degree in Pan-African Studies, Tyree Boyd-Pates is also an alum of California State University, Bakersfield, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in African American Studies.
